SCREENING NEWS
Bill Plympton's new feature film "Idiots and Angels" will be premiering at the prestigious Tribeca Film Festival in New York City, which takes place April 23-May 4 in Manhattan.
The Tribeca Film Festival has announced that "Idiots and Angels" will be presented in its "Encounters" section, as one of only 122 feature films, selected from over 2,300 submissions.
Bill Plympton's "Idiots and Angels" is a dark comedy about a morally bankrupt man struggling to hide the good side of himself, which manifests itself in a pair of angel wings that make him do good deeds. Don't miss this unique "cartoon-noir" world premiere!
The film features music by Tom Waits, Pink Martini and Moby. Bill Plympton will appear at all of the Tribeca Film Festival screenings to introduce the film and answer questions from the audience after.
Founded in 2002 by Jane Rosenthal and Robert De Niro, the Tribeca Film Festival has become one of the most prominent film festivals in the world, offering movie-goers a wide variety of independent films, with a mission to celebrate New York City as a major filmmaking center and to contribute to the long-term recovery of lower Manhattan after the September 11, 2001 attack.
